Our Purpose and Mission: Equipping for Spirit-filled Ministry…
Historically, most Christian colleges typically viewed accreditation as both unnecessary and even detrimental to the purpose and mission of a school of ministry. However, in recent years, many schools who once wanted nothing to do with it now actively pursue it. Consequently, many seem to have lost their primary distinction as a ministry school and are now primarily known for an emphasis on liberal arts. While we respect and are supportive of every devout educational endeavor, Vintage Bible College has made a conscious choice to remain free from secular control and to avoid the influence of secular interests. Our mandate is to equip men and women for ministry and we are committed to this mission.
Every accredited institution was once non-accredited. Our decision to remain free from secular control and open to the leading of the Holy Spirit allows us to maintain affordable tuition rates and to offer exclusively Biblical-based programs of study. Many entering ministry discover that a secularly-accredited degree is not affordable, nor is it applicable to their needs, so you may want to consider what best suits your particular circumstance.
Even secularly accredited schools cannot normally guarantee the acceptance of credits or degrees from other schools since each student is evaluated and then accepted or denied based upon a number of individual factors. While some scholarships and tuition reimbursement programs may only cover courses from an accredited school, you may consider requesting a scholarship match from the Vintage Bible College Admissions Department which could reduce your tuition to match the out-of-pocket cost, thus allowing you to enroll in the school of your choice.
Vintage Bible College is a private, interdenominational, school of ministry and the programs of study offered are of religious nature. We hold as our primary objective the highest academic achievements in the areas of private education; therefore, many colleges accept our credits on the strong integrity of our programs of study. If you have specific questions about credit transfers, you should contact the registrar's office of the institution you desire to attend.
